CareDogs, a UK charity tackling social isolation in older people through the companionship of dogs, needed a website that was approachable, easy to navigate, and accessible across devices. The site had to cater to a broad audience including older participants, volunteers, and donors, while reflecting the charity’s warm branding and clear tone of voice.

I led the design process from discovery through to delivery, creating user personas and flows, prototypes, and a design library to ensure consistency. Working closely with a developer, we built the site in Squarespace, giving the CareDogs team full control to update and manage content independently.

Outcome
The new website provided CareDogs with a clear and modern platform that strengthened their visibility in the charity sector. The improved structure made volunteering, adopting, and donating simple and transparent, while usability testing ensured older users could navigate with confidence. The project delivered a scalable and easy-to-maintain site that supported both the charity’s immediate goals and future growth.
