Alan Day Community Garden — website redesign
Alan Day Community Garden needed a clearer, more user-friendly website to serve its two key audiences: funders and participants. The existing site made it difficult to convey the organisation’s mission or guide users to take part in its programmes. I led a full redesign, beginning with an audit of the site’s structure and user needs.
Alan Day Community Garden needed a clearer, more user-friendly website to serve its two key audiences: funders and participants. The existing site made it difficult to convey the organisation’s mission or guide users to take part in its programmes. I led a full redesign, beginning with an audit of the site’s structure and user needs.
Working within Wix, I restructured the information architecture, developed wireframes, and tested prototypes with target users. I collaborated closely with stakeholders to ensure the site met business goals while remaining simple enough for the team to update and maintain independently.

Outcome
The redesigned site significantly improved navigation and created a clear pathway for both audiences. Funders could quickly understand the impact of the organisation, while participants were guided towards joining programmes and activities. The flexible new structure allowed Alan Day to update content easily, ensuring the site could scale as the garden grew and new initiatives were launched.
