To bring a playful edge to a new marketing campaign featuring toads, we held a company-wide Spike Day to generate ideas. My team pitched a hidden “easter egg” web game using the campaign’s theme song — the idea won, and I was asked to lead the design of the final product.

To bring a playful edge to a new marketing campaign featuring toads, we held a company-wide Spike Day to generate ideas. My team pitched a hidden “easter egg” web game using the campaign’s theme song — the idea won, and I was asked to lead the design of the final product.

Over the following two months, I worked closely with the UX designer and developers to shape the concept into a fully playable online game. I explored multiple visual directions, defined the game flow, designed the UI, and created all final assets for handover. I also supported implementation and testing to ensure a polished experience.

Outcome

Launched as part of TotallyMoney’s 2021 Toadally Money campaign, the game invited users to “make your credit score perform” by tapping coloured buttons in time with the track from the advert. It extended the TV and digital work into an interactive, on-brand touchpoint that connected the commercial to a playful online experience. The wider campaign, created with agency Driven and animation studio Milford, gained industry coverage and helped reinforce TotallyMoney’s distinctive brand presence.
